这支来自瑞典名城哥德堡的四人组合起初的发展并不顺利。但在转向丹麦发展后,他们以一曲“幸运轮”（Wheel Of Fortune）获得了相当不错的成绩。之后,他们又相继推出了“她所要的一切”（A That She Wants),“快乐园”（Happy Nation）,“符号”（The Sign）等一连串单曲,获得了广泛的欢迎。Ace Of Base很快成为一支极为走红的乐队。1994年,美国的一家公司发行了他们的首张专辑《符号》（The Sign）。专辑在欧洲发行时则以《快乐园》（Happy Nation）为名。这张专辑和其中的单曲“她所要的一切”很快就分别获得了排行榜的冠军,而Ace Of Base也由此成为第一支获得美国Bioard（告示牌）排行榜冠军的瑞典乐队。单曲“符号”成了94年美国销量最大的单曲之一,并在八个国家的排行榜上获得了冠军。“她所要的一切”在十个国家的排行榜上位列冠军,并被誉为欧洲十年来（1984-1994）最为成功的一首单曲。而《快乐园》也获得了在七个国家的排行榜上位居冠军的佳绩。 1996年下半年,Ace Of Base开始准备下一张专辑《Flowers》。一年后,我们知道了第一支单曲的发行日期是1998年2月。“Life is a Flower”取得了令人吃惊的成绩,在希腊,瑞典和其它一些国家取得了第一,在欧洲绝大多数国家都进了前十名。之后在1999年和2002年Ace Of Base陆续又发表了专辑《Singles Of the 90s》和《Da Capo》。08年11月Ace Of Base推出了乐团创建以来最豪华包装的精选音乐包《Greatest Hits,Classic Remixes And Music Videos》内含三张光盘,其中包括一张16首精选单曲CD,一张17首经典录音,一张历年音乐录影带DVD。其中《Classic Remixes》包含四首重新录制的混音单曲“Wheel Of Fortune 2009”,“Lucky Love 2009”和“Dont Turn Around 2009”。绝对是值得收藏的经典。
在过去十年中Ace Of Base一共卖出了3000万张专辑和1500万张单曲他们的歌曲在世界各地的排行样上都曾达到首位他们的音乐节奏独具特色交融有雷鬼、迪斯科与欧洲电子音乐加上轻松上口的歌词营造出的欢愉气氛特别适合Party和迪斯科舞厅以致于称霸全球流行音乐让世人传唱。
Ace Of Base和他们制作的音乐一起成为新流行Reggae时期的重要部分同时也是遍及世界各地的瑞典音乐的带头人。整个90年代Ace Of Base在飞机、火车、汽车上的时间比斯堪的纳维亚半岛以外的其它乐队花得更多他们一直在全球进行专辑的推广以及巡回演出。在环绕世界的旅行中他们发现了他们的音乐在世界各地的影响。
他们都来自瑞典的Gothenerg。Jonas Berggren 和Ulf Ekerg在Gothenurg相遇准备一起在音乐上有所建树。很快他们发现自己需要歌手于是找到Jenny ,Malin姐妹成为一个四人组合。Ace Of Base成立时叫Tech Noir,这是个节奏明快充满活力和富有技巧的组合,这一点在《Just Chaos》《Hear Me Caing》中有所体现。但是他们很快改变了风格成为Ace Of Base并有了自己的商标 Pop & Reggae grooves。
在为Mega Records Scamdanavia制做了样带《Wheel Of Fortune》之后,公司和Ace Of Base 签定了唱片合约,发布了他们的第一张单曲《Wheel Of Fortune》及专辑《Happy Nation》。这张专辑再版了三次直到它上榜,它最高名次是第二。接着就是他们的第二支欧洲单曲《A That She Wants》。这支曲子升到了第一。然后他们发行了两张单曲《Happy Nation》和《Waiting For Magic》。接下来就是和USA签定唱片合同！US唱片公司不认为Ace Of Base适于歌曲演奏。Clive David,Arista 唱片公司的总裁,在欧洲时所有这些都改变了。
《A That She Wants》在欧洲MTV和各大电台不断播出。他然后和美卡音像联系准备让在美国的Ace Of Base和他的公司,Arista 唱片公司签约。新专辑录制时决定采用一些将在美国发行的歌曲。专辑名字为《The Sign》,在欧洲发行了另外一张专辑《Happy Nation》（美国版）有人称之为《The Sign》的姐妹片。 除了两首新曲和一首重新混音的曲子以外这这张专辑和《The Sign》的风格一致。发行这张专辑是为了减慢美国对欧洲的文化出口。
Ace Of Base 在美国发行了第一张单曲《A That She Wants》,这张单曲获得很大的成功登上第一。第二张单曲《The Sign》也获得巨大的成功并登上第一。 这可能是Ace Of Base在美国最出名的歌。接下来在美国发行《Don't Turn Around》和《Ace Of Base: The Home Video》。两张专辑都卖的很好。《Don't Turn Around》取得了第二名而且不断播放。最近,Ace Of Base 出版了《Living In Danger》。这首歌做的很好但是只取得了二十名。现在正在制做下一张专辑。他们的这张专辑《The Bridge》发行于1995年11月受到广泛好评。 第一张单曲《Beautiful Life》在美国只取得15名,接下来的《Lucky Love》在Dance 排行榜上获得第一。但是最后一张单曲《Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry》只取得了106名。
但是在欧洲完全不同！第一张单曲《Lucky Love》就在一些国家取得第一。接下来的《Beautiful Life》《Never Gonna Say I'm Sorry》在排行榜上成绩很好。1996年下半年,Ace Of Base开始准备下一张专辑。一年后,我们知道了第一支单曲的发行日期是1998年2月。《Life is a Flower》取得了令人吃惊的成绩,在希腊,瑞典和其它一些国家取得了第一,在欧洲绝大多数国家都进了前十名。
